To be honest, i don't like both coins. XRP has the large banking support and therefore they always have a large userbase. In the long run, they may surge in price too as all the cases on Ripple will be turned down as the US new administration settles in. Ripple CEO meeting with the president makes the importance of this coin even more but as i said this is not a true decentralized coin and i don't agree with the logic behind this coins.

XRP may be better than XLM and give better returns if you are holding it. Also its worth mentioning that usually when XRP pumps or dumps, XLM does the same after that. Keep this in mind and get some profits by trading XLM.
