You don’t have to go far with your example because 2011 is far; just imagine people that buy and hold Bitcoin in 2022 when Bitcoin price dropped to below $20k they are also in gains now because their investment is now 5x with the current price of $100k per Bitcoin.
All they do is patience because it is the only reason they will enjoy Bitcoin investment.
