A lot of people had the opportunity to invest in bitcoin in ots early stage, but the neglected it due to ignorance and I wouldn't blame them for that because nobody knew what the future of bitcoin will be like. It's the same thing that will happen to those who are seeing how the value of bitcoin ia increasing currently and are remorse to join invest in bitcoin because they believe they know it all. I could remember that Microsoft turned down investing company's funds into bitcoin. The future will tell if they made the right choice or not.
Unlike Microsoft, I have read Overstock.com did accept Bitcoin much earlier than most other companies. Have they ever sold their "Overstock" of early crypto, or are they big HODLers? Either way, everyone who missed the boat cannot change the past, but we can learn from it and earn a path to a better future.
