People who are addicted don't have any remorse or feelings of what people will say about their lifestyle,  and even if they want to get money that do not belong to them they don't care about how the money was gotten, all they just care about is to just satisfy their gambling interests.  Addiction can be uncontrollable,  that it can cause one of doing anything to get money just to gamble.  I'm not surprise when I get to hear news about addicted gamblers who do anything just to raise money to gamble.

When one is addicted their is no remorse of what family will say, it is as if gambling addiction do affect people's thinking ability which they are unable to make the right decisions.
