I agree with you that Manchester United's victory yesterday did not mean anything or we can call it luck. Based on statistics, Manchester United can dominate the match but many opportunities are passed in vain.
I don't see it as luck, they had to work hard to get the win even though statistically MU was able to dominate the match. Amad Diallo became the hero of the victory after successfully scoring a hat-trick in the last 10 minutes of the match, the three points achieved over Southampton felt very special because they managed to end their last 4 matches in the EPL without a win.
Tomorrow they will fight Brighton and we know Brighton is not an easy opponent this means we can't expect Manchester United to get 3 points even a draw is a good result, IMO. Special attention to the Manchester United defense line that has conceded many goals and maybe it became their worst record.
Brighton is certainly not an easy opponent to beat, their position is also better than MU in the standings. A draw might be possible, especially as they are playing at Old Trafford, but a win is still the target to improve their position in the standings.
