Do you think that a show can influence not only the tourists but as well as the government's perception and decisions about gambling and casinos? Or do you think the impact of a film or a show isn't enough to sway people?
Media has also had a significant influence on society for a long time.Interestingly, the government's perception on gambling and casinos can be swayed if the tax revenue is substantial.Governments take taxes seriously, and in some cases, they might even legalize an otherwise illegal activity if it generates considerable tax income.Recently, the government of Thailand has agreed to legalize casinos in an effort to boost tourism and entertainment. Many tourists would love to explore new destinations for entertainment and other purposes, so this move by the government could be beneficial.
BANGKOK, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Thailand's cabinet has approved a draft law that would legalise gambling and casinos, a move aimed at boosting tourism, jobs and investment, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra said on Monday.
Under the government's plan, the law, which will be sent to parliament for deliberation, would see gambling take place in large-scale entertainment
complexes.
