Based on the current performance in their various leagues, PSG could be said to be in good shape than Manchester City. City has gone through some poor back runs until they managed to get two wins, and some sports pundits and fans believed that they were back on track. But many people became disappointed after the draw with Brentford. They had a good win against Ipswich, but I still see them as an inconsistent side. But PSG has maintained their dominance in the French League. I know we will always say that League One is weaker than the EPL.
If we looked their current performance, both are not so different. Man City has performed better in the last 5 matches. Sure, Man City performed very poor in November-December 2024 but they showed an improvement in the early of this year. Yep, the competition level of EPL and Ligue 1 is a bit different, I think we can't solely consider the strength of Man City and PSG based on the domestic competition only. And if we analyze the stats in UCL, it seems Man City looks a bit better. Man City won 2 matches and got 2 draws, meanwhile PSG won 2 matches and got 1 draw only. However, the difference is not so significant, I think it is still difficult to guess which team will win the match. But honestly, I favor Man City to win the match due to the quality of their squad.

But that comparison lacks a lot. Manchester City's opponents are called Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. whole PSG is mostly playing against full underdogs. It is correct that Manchester City has lost games against weak teams recently, but still looking at the table and then drawing conclusions while comparing Ligue 1 and the Premier League, that's not what I think makes a lot of sense.

But for both teams this game is crucial and both could have some kind of a comeback in the Champions League. But the risk for PSG is much higher if they don't win. If they don't win this game, then a draw in the last game way would not be enough to qualify I think. That's why I think there will be two teams going quite all in although Manchester City could live well with a draw in this game.
