We can say Manchester City and PSG are currently in the same category. Manchester City is performing much worse this season than Manchester City did last season. When Manchester City take to the field this season, the difference in their performance from last season can be clearly understood. At the beginning of the season, Manchester City was considered as the strongest team in the Champions League tournament, but now Manchester City is not considered as the strongest team in the Champions League at all.
Both Manchester City and PSG didn't start this season with imagination that they will have big troubles in Champions League, and with Manchester City they got issues in their domestic league too. PSG are better in Ligue 1 and have a solid first position, but in Champions League, they are nearly the same with many bad matches, and they are both struggling to be eligible for a next phase. Or just move next even have to join play off matches, is enough for Manchester City and PSG if they can avoid a terrible ending after group phase, going home.
I am actually not favoring Manchester City for the Champions League match between Manchester City and PSG on the 23rd. If PSG performs well in this match then PSG will win and if Manchester City performs well then the result will go in favor of Manchester City. I will not bet on any team in this match as the performances of both teams are random.
Manchester City shown some signals that they are recovering from crisis and in player resources, they have better quality than PSG. Pep Guardiola is very experienced in Champions League and with weak mentality of PSG in Champions League, I choose Manchester City as a winner in their direct match.
