to the youths out there my opinion to you is that you get an online skill aquire it and use it positively.
You should be more specific by "skill" because nowadays most people are seeking meaningless and low paying jobs just to make ends meet. Specially in the West with the ongoing recession. In fact that is why the unemployment rate is going down rapidly! People flip burgers,
become social media influencer advertising crap, etc. and all that employment while they make less than minimum wage!!!
Usually, there are two types of people who don't have skills, one works in McDonalds or in Aldi and another one works as social media influencer but let me tell you that social media influencers are earning way more than any skilled workers. Social media influencers, even those who small number of IG followers, are paid very decently. And OF? Lots of girls do this, they earn more than NBA players. This world is becoming a terrible place because skilled and hard working people are living from paycheck to paycheck (most of the time) while unskilled and stupid people are living a very luxurious lifestyle.
Skill should be something proper and useful. As far as "online" and computer skills go, such proper ones include programming, website design, digital security experts, graphic designers, ... and all of them can only be counted as skill if the person is actually good at them. For example someone who copies wordpress ready template and calls that "website design" is not categorized as skilled although they can make some money.
Copying a Wordpress ready templates might be paying more than writing a website or app from scratch in react. Once I had a deal with the guy who had Wordpress agency (as he told me) and was earning money by installing and modifying paid Wordpress themes. As he explained, it was very easy money but the challenging thing is to get customers because the competition is high.
