That's true.
Someone stranger will approach the new member with a bunch of words as if they're the fastest typing guy in the world. All are copied and pasted and you'll be overwhelmed with what they're asking you.
And aside from that, the questions being thrown to you were already answered by them as well. All you have to do is to ignore them or if it doesn't work, block them.
What is the point responding to chats in DM when you have no knowledge about who is sending you a message, already when you see the message and content, you already know what they are up to so what you just have to do is to instantly block them and continue your life nothing would happen but I am of the opinion that one should be able to trace the scammers to see for themselves rooms or groups they share in common so they can be able to expose the scammers by tagging them for the community, admins and mods to know what is happening and block them from the group as this would help them save other members of the community to be aware of such account and be wary of them.
Not every newbie understands that these scammers are fake people. They're being approached welcomingly and they won't notice the red flag in there.
That's why even if there is no point in responding on the chats, this is not about us but about them that's new to it and are not aware of the technique of these scammers.
To us, there is no problem about it because we're aware of it but still many newbies are being victimized by these people.
