Seems a bit of a crazy thought, even though there might be some connection with internet adoption and bitcoin, even though surely there are a decent number of countries with decently good internet adoption levels, yet still seeming reluctances about bitcoin...
There are still some reluctances about Bitcoin, because the world is not ready for it yet.
It does not matter if the world is ready or not. Bitcoin is here, and it has been here for 16 years.
Sure there are some unfairnesses in that technologically advanced parts of the world will have more advantages than non-technologically advanced parts of the world.
Richer areas will also have advantages over less rich areas of the world.
Yet it is what it is.
Bitcoin was launched.
Either it survives or it does not survive.
From my perspective, bitcoin has been a success beyond belief, even though surely there are some segments of society that are more ready, willing and./or able to profit, yet bitcoin does not just benefit those who are ready and able, since they have to also be willing, so there are likely some parts of the world that are less ready and able but they are more willing... so we will continue to have to see how bitcoin goes, and anyone who knows about bitcoin would be advantaged to get stared as soon as possible, even if the world was not ready.. too fucking bad.. bitcoin is already here.. 16 years ago and counting.. tick tock next block, figure out how to get some bitcoin if you don't have any.
Some governments rely on the old cash system (paper money) to keep the economic rolling. A radical transformation is necessary for Bitcoin to reach the masses.
Bitcoin is going to reach the masses at whatever pace that it does, and if any of the masses hears about bitcoin, then it is more likely their obligation to come to bitcoin rather than expecting any spoon feeding.
Of course, anyone who knows about this forum and other bitcoin forums (discussion locations) will have advantages over people who don't know about it.
Slowly but surely, every country around the world will adopt BTC as its own. Russia, China, the UAE, and even Qatar are getting in the game.
That is correct, and some of the pieces of news coming out likely should inspire normies (and the masses) to get some bitcoin before the bigger players, governments, institutions and status quo rich people drive up the BTC price more and more and more. So, if normies diddly dally around, then they are likely going to be more and more prejudiced by their diddly-daddling around.
We're still early, considering that CBDCs aren't even the norm yet.
Yes, we are early.. and sure CBDCs are anti-bitcoin.. so there may well be some governments pushing for those kinds of products, and partially they are pushing for them in order to deceive normies out of recognizing and/or appreciating the value of BTC... It seems that Nigeria attempted to introduce a CBDC which drove a lot of normie Nigerians to bitcoin.
A long journey awaits for Bitcoin. The earlier you buy, the higher the chances you'll have of profiting in the future. Just invest wisely, and you'll have nothing to worry about.

I don't know about normies having nothing to worry about. For sure, we likely want to be trying to hold most of our BTC in private wallets rather than on exchanges (third-parties).. perhaps 90% of our coins should be held privately... but yeah, normies can decide for themselves, including that some people might need to worry more than others in terms of protecting themselves and whatever bitcoin they are able to accumulate and protect..
