What will you prefer in this economy to maintain a balance.

To be always busy working, be paid well for needs and wants, but no time for family and other things. Or not always busy, moderately paid enough for needs alone and enough time for family and other activities?
It depends on the job. If I work as manual labour, I'd love to do less work and have a better work-life balance because manual labour jobs are physically very demanding and you can't do much when you come at home tired from work but if I work a job that has perspective to earn me more money and fame, then I'd choose more money and less time. For example, at the moment I work as a UI/UX designer, this is a job that I can do all the time, it pays well and you can become a famous and successful UI/UX designer over time.
I think that it also depends on personality. Some people are like family guys, and some are more independent and prefer to be alone and do everything alone. I know that family guys prefer to have less money but more time with their family.
