Amorim has made his wishes known to the club recently that he needs funds to make player purchases. In an article I read he sent clear warning to the management of the club that if Anthony must leave there must be a good replacement for him. Honestly I think it is time for the club management to work in cooperation with Amorim to bring the change desired, Amorim is an ambitious coach and he looks to know what he wants and what he is doing, he should be given benefit of doubt and the finances to make that change happen.
When you come to Man United to be the most important part of the club then all the big disasters have greeted him since the first day. Anyone whether a player or a coach will have the same risk, it is difficult to develop, financial support is sometimes not easy to get and Amorim seems to show signs of stress. See the difference in his facial expression when he was still at Sporting and after becoming Man United coach.
No doubt Amorim looked so frustrated this time. His team was rarely got a good result, and placed at the 13th, closer to the relegation zone. If you were a coach, and how can you convince yourself to always feel confident when you're potentially losing your job?
His mimmick is always showing if he's not fine now. He has to push club to play better, then back to the top 10. However, his club's facing financial issue, which may force him take even longer to rebuild his club like what he desired.
