If Manchester City wants to win against Chelsea in the premier league so they can shift position, the question is do they have what it takes to win this match. I mean after watching how PSG humiliated them in the Champions League I just came to the conclusion that City might not recover from their inconsistency this season.
Chelsea are more consistent and might win Manchester City at Etihad. Even if City eventually scores the opening goal I will still doubt their ability until the 90' is complete. It will be so sad to realise that City of all premier league club will be ending the season trophiless and are at risk of missing out of the Champions League this season and next.
Although Chelsea on there own side can be unpredictable sometimes but I doubt if they will take things lightly with Manchester City this time, talking about Manchester City match with PSG, it was a disaster and a problem coming from a devastated defense, how would a team like City allowed such a winning from behind, I think with this fact I concur to what you said that their underformance may persist till the end of this season.
Both Chelsea and Manchester City can be funny though I also agree with you that Chelsea may win that match but if you check some of there recent previous matches, City always have a way of wining Chelsea but let's see if this one will be different.
Every season must not be smooth for a particular football club, so if Manchester City end this season without a trophy there's no big deal afterall there current perfoemance isn't good and there's no magic to that effect, we are already in the last lap of the sesson and I dont see Liverpool giving up for any team this season thats to say your assumption may come to reality.
