In as much as City won with that awful display from Chelsea I'd like to know what is Enzo Maresca doing as a manager with Jackson on the pitch, starting him every single game? This is something both the board and the fans need to question Enzo Maresca of because this man Jackson has been killing the build up of Chelsea since the beginning of this season, if he had converted some of those chances including the ones that was ruled out for offside I see no reason why the defense of Manchester City shouldn't be scared of him whenever he's with the ball and you'd agree with me that Chelsea should have won this game if he had been up to standard, he should be ashamed of himself and Enzo on the other hand is not acting as a strict manager as he claim to be.
I think when it comes to high stake games, Nicolas Jackson cannot perform effectively and I think this is suppose to be a concern for Enzo Maresca. He should be looking for a replacement for Nicolas Jackson a player with proven track record of success which can be able to add a strong attack to their front line. It was a impressive performance from the Manchester City side as they were able to come from one goal down to win the match.
I was having a football talk with a passionate Chelsea fan after the loss against Manchester City. The fan was seriously pointing at Nicolas Jackson and the goalkeeper as the problem of Chelsea. Although he started by acknowledging that Nicholas Jackson is a type of striker that supports the midfield unlike Erling Haaland who stands and score. Infact he made a silly comparison that Haaland only stands and he is provided football to score, that he doesn't help the team. I was like what is the duty of a striker?
To support the midfield;
Or
To score;

It's laughable though. Chelsea problem is not on only Jackson. How about when Nkuku was introduced early enough, what did he do?
The Chelsea fan was just being direct to earth with exactly where the problem of Chelsea underlies. When a team lacks a good finisher for the position of a striker then at that level your team risks losing points from games they ought to win. Have a poorly finisher and adding to a goalie that's a disaster, full of cheap mistakes like Sanchez then you're bound to struggle like Chelsea is doing.

I admire Erling Haaland quality as a striker, he always at the right positions for goal and a good finisher that makes goal use of every creative chance from the midfielders.

As for your question, it's optional for a striker to fall back and assist the midfield hustle for ball, the striker work is to get in goals for the team, and for Haaland that's exact purpose Pep Guardiola signed him.

Fulham Vs Manchester United
The quality of this match has been very poor, no beautiful runs, just some pedestrian pace. Manchester United  playing like a team struggling at the relegation zone.

No single save was made by the Fulham goalie which shows that Manchester United didn't make a single strike on target throughout the enter first 45 minutes. What a poor show this is. I think Ruben Amorim was correct when he publicly stated that this Manchester United team is the worst team in the club's history. Everyday they keep declining in performance.
