I completely agree, the match was really tough to watch. United looked far from convincing, and the game felt more like a scrappy battle than actual football. Martinez’s goal after the deflection was pure luck rather than the result of a well-crafted attack. The team created almost nothing throughout the match, and this result feels like a gift from fate. But, as you rightly said, this win helps Manchester United move a bit further away from the relegation zone, which, at this point, might be the only positive takeaway from their situation.
Manchester United's win was something important for them, but it certainly wasn't an easy win. Manchester United failed to build more measurable attacks and they only had few chances to score goals, but their success in winning 3 points in such a difficult match also needs to be appreciated.
Fulham made more attacks which almost made them take the lead in the match, but Onana was still alert enough to keep his goal from being conceded. The goal productivity of Manchester United's attackers still needs to be improved, this is one of the factors why so far Manchester United has had difficulty competing at the top and is struggling to get into the top 10. Amorim is not yet fully considered capable of returning Manchester United's best performance, but in some ways he is good.
