If you are working or doing something that you like, then I don't really want to retire too, but if you are just working just to survive I think most of those people really want to retire and live their life.
It all comes down to your workplace or job if you enjoy it then it wouldn't feel like you are working.
Let's be real here most of the workers or employee feel frustrated or wants to leave their job not because of their actual workload, but because of their workmates.
Willingness to retire early or later in life depends on the kind of job that a person does, if it's the typical 8 to 5 hours jobs and any other types of jobs that is physically hard, the desire will be high. If you love your job and it's not mentally and physically stressful to you then ofcourse you wouldn't consider retiring, you can work as long as your body and mind can take in old age. The human body and mind are supposed to be active because we're created to always function and be productive, although our productivity can reduce in old age but we're supposed to keep going as long as we can. When I'm old I'd definitely want to quit hard jobs but I won't quit easily on jobs that requires deep thinking like monitoring my investments and diversifying my funds into other profitable ventures.
