After 4 consecutive league games without a win, Barcelona finally delivered. Maybe Valencia was not the strongest rival (19th place currently) but 7-1 was still very impressing.
Right now Barca has the best attack in the league with 59 goals scored, which averages to over 2.8 goals per game. Unfortunately for them, it's the points that counts, not goals. Points-wise they're still 7 behind Real, as Real didn't have any problems defeating Valladolid (3-0), so I have very little hope for them to stop Real from defending their title.
It was one of the best games of Hansi Flick men in La Liga this season, 7-1 is a huge score and it shows that Barcelona attack is indeed the best at the moment, but I agree their main problem is that they are not consistent in winning every game, because what is needed in the title race is to keep collecting 3 points, that's the most important thing. Hansi Flick must fix it if he wants to catch up with Real Madrid points deficit soon. Now the season is halfway through with a 7-point gap, which means they have to hope that Real will slump in two games. The biggest question is, is that possible? considering Real are in good form.
