Let us say you are an incredibly rich person. You have millions in your bank account and millions more in the forms of assets. If you gamble and lose $10,000, it won’t affect you that much. Yes, you’ll probably still be bummed because who wants to lose right? You can afford to lose or not, you wouldn’t want to lose the money. The difference is that the rich ones can easily move on while you would be in debt after losing. So, be careful also to who you take inspiration from because you do not know the extent of their financial situation.

If you are rich and can afford to lose 10,000$ one time then defiantly you can move on but if you got addicted to gambling then it doesn't matter whether you are rich or not you will end up losing everything you have. It's important to keep in mind that in gambling it's the house which is the ultimate the winner while gamblers keep bearing the loses. Every person has his own financial limitations and you are right in saying that a millionaire won't be affected if he lose 10,000$ in gambling but for some ordinary guy even 100$ is a big money to lose. Better keep these things in mind before anyone start gambling.
