Vinicius Junior decides to stay as it seems which is not surprising news at all.  Grin  Of course he was going to decide like that at this young age. He is only 24 and he has lots of more trophies to win with Real Madrid in the future.

He was going to get an enormous offer from a Saudi team normally. They were rumoured to offer 300 million euros to Real Madrid as transfer fee and 200 million a year as a salary to the player. That's of course an insane offer.  Smiley

But not enough to convince a player like this anyway. As far as I know he makes 25 million a year with bonuses now but not everything is money. Achieving successes in Europe is much more valuable than the successes in Saudi Arabia obviously.

The Ballon d'Or story is not over for Vinnie, he definitely wants to get it. Maybe if Vinnie gets it done, the Saudi offer, which is estimated at a billion, will turn into a billion and a half? Who knows  Grin In any case, he is really young and has time to play for titles, but Salah, KDB, etc. should be leaving for Saudi Arabia purely for money. They are the ones whose time resource is running out.

I think there are thresholds for everyone and 200 million is a hell lot of money of course. But in contrast to Ronaldo, Vinicius Junior has so much to achieve as a player and he won't ever suffer from hunger  Grin Ronaldo took it as a pension at the end of his career and I guess everyone would have done the same. I think he received 500 million for 2.5 years, which is about the same as they offer Vinicius Junior. But again, Ronaldo was in his late 30s and took it as a bonus, Vinicius Junior would pay a price. He is 24 years old now and if he decided to go there, any ambitions he had to win the Ballon d'Or or win the Champions League again, it would all be lost. Unless he would do a weird move like go there for two years and then return, but I don't know whether any club would particularly like a to sign a player who went for the money last time and let greed overcome himself.
