Gambling is bad, but when it reaches the level of addiction, it can ruin our lives. Gamblers commit loans because they are already chasing their losses. It is a desperate move that anyone can make. We wonder why this happens. And even question ourselves. But guess what? When your mind is out of control, you can never think of the right thing to do. This often happens when you are having trouble accepting losses.
That is why, as much as possible, we should keep in mind the possible consequences we may get from too much gambling.
TBH, I can't say if gambling in general is either good or bad because... it's just a tool that we are using. Same with Bitcoin where we are both using it to make money. We are investing into Bitcoin to make money and at the same time, we are gambling in hopes that we can make money from it... or we are. That is why, as much as possible, we should keep in mind the possible consequences we may get from too much gambling.
For me, I don't want to say that gambling is bad, but our decisions is what causes us to make bad things. There are some who can't control themselves therefore, getting addicted into gambling. There are some that like you said, getting loans to recover their losses. There are some who are even selling everything that they have just to have money to gamble. This is the reason why I always say that learning how to control yourself is a must if you're spending too much time in gambling. Learning self-control = making better decisions.
There are some though that doesn't care about the consequences that they might face when they gamble. Self-control, self-control and self-control.
