If it's loosing three games in a row I will agree with you that it's quite unlikely Madrid will do that but otherwise I see the possibility of that happening and that is because the fixtures after now are tight and they will actually need to pay some more attention if they will be able to maintain that so well that they may not have to feel threatened at any point,  moreover they have their UCL playoff games ahead which is a determinant to their chances in the champions league so it's going to be a hectic one for them to navigate.
