What if that ill luck you so dread comes on the day you resume trading after your vacation or day off? Well, that's good for you if it's the way you find right to do and protect yourself. As for me, I don't let that type of fear (I tag it fear or losing already made profit) worry me. Instead of wasting a day or days staying off the market for the sake of avoiding losses, I rather stay in the market with already preconceived SL (Stop Loss). I hate to be scared when trading as I've come to recognize the importance of loss in trading. Whether we like to think or assume we're pro-traders or on the average scale, we all aren't protected from incurring losses from time to time.
In trading we must experience every bit of it because that is what makes us stronger while trading and anyone who must stop for any reason or trying to avoid much lost by spacing or limiting themselves to certain level doesn't really want changes or doesn't want to improve in their trading journey, on a normal basis staying on the market monitoring the market behavior could be fine and even if person doesn't enter any trade one can study the overall movement of the market to enable them stay informed while the market moves, it's always better at least device a strategies to start taking at least every single dollars as something very important to them without even targeting to make huge amount of profits in returns to all trades with this they can gradually starts making profits.
