Give yourself time. If the timeframe that it took another trader to become profitable is a year, yours may be longer and some other people's own less, hence the importance of not using another person's time to measure your own. Aim for progress, not perfection immediately.
Becoming good at trading do not happen all of a sudden, there is no trader that have not lost to the market and there is no successful trader that have not had his own share of the delays, frustrations from the market can make you question what you are doing always losing money. The essential skills can not all be learnt before we start trading because if we wait, we might not learn them all. As we are trading, so we should be learning more and improved on our skills and soon we will become professionals traders too. About the timing of when we can expect our skills to be very improved, there is no generalized time because everyone has their learning speed and everybody can not have the same results but if you are consistent, you can become better.
