Absolutely wrong.
When it comes to what BTC is and using BTC, it is easy to understand.
Now if you are talking about understanding the mechanics of how it works, yes, that does take some technical knowledge. That applies to just about everything in life so, your point is?...
You are saying right that using Bitcoin is easy but understanding how it works is harder and needs special knowledge. That is good point. Many people can use Bitcoin without knowing all complicated details just like how people can drive cars without knowing how to fix them. Most people who use technology like smartphones computers or microwaves do not need to know how they work to use them. It is important to separate using Bitcoin in practical way from understanding complicated technology behind it.
One major factor that is driving the adoption of Bitcoin is that it doesn't take high intelligence to learn how to buy and hold it. But learning about it's technicalities is not easy, it requires specially learning and understanding how it works. Like you said Bitcoin technicalities can be compared to technologically imputed commodities like cars, smartphones and computers, almost everybody knows how to operate them but a few professionals knows their technical aspects. People who are interested in holding Bitcoin for investment and payments don't need to bother about any technical knowledge, they can focus on how to secure their private keys.
