even if arsenal is able to hold om to this lead till the end of the game, it does not still affect the way city will approach their game against real Madrid. apart from the fact that Manchester needs point to help them get closer to Liverpool. this game is nothing close to what is at stake in the champions league play off that they will be playing against real madid.
arsenal is really showing that they are now on the level of the top teams by making things really difficult for Manchester city. at 63 plus minutes into the game they have already scored three goals and things has started looking really messy for Manchester city that are already at a bad state in all active competition they are engaging in. if things remain this way they will be hoping that Chelsea will lose their next game against west ham or else, they will be restored back to Chelsea's current position while the blues will push further up to the fourth position of the table.
