That players of nowadays are more focus on making money rather than playing for passion like the old days.
That's because sports have become commercialized; there are more sponsors than ever before. if you are good and passionate about what you are doing and you have a better offer from another team because they think you deserve more, then I don't see anything wrong with changing teams and accepting the offer.
So many headlines has been flying around, about players either wanting to change clubs because they want to secure a huge paycheck. While others still in their current club demanding a pay rise to a new contract
You cannot play at your best all your life; you will become old and worn so why not accept a good compensation plan so you can enjoy retirement when it comes?
Great sportsman know they value and they they know how to bargain themselves; they only want to think about winning and their passion; they cannot do that if they lack financial stability.
