You made it sound like you are guarding/protecting the account but after looking at your post history it is prima facie evident that you are impersonating the original account holder and using his prior efforts for your potential financial and social(prestige) gains.
It is good that you honestly admit changing hands but it would have been much better if this admission had come before @nutildah tagged you.
Here's the problem: its not you. By using this account, you're taking credit for its accomplishments and assuming the guilt of its failures.
I am not sure if he is ready for the bolded part of your statement. I could be wrong, though, but circumstantial evidence indicates otherwise.
