I recently watched a new episode of a program about dependent and codependent people. And they talked about how far a person can go in his lies so that people around him will take pity on him and give him money.
They are ready to lie and make up stories about how they are being persecuted by bandits or tax authorities, and this lie shows how much such a dependent person does not respect his family and people around him. For him, bets and casinos are much more important than relationships with people around him.
This is how far gambling addiction can go, to the extent of deceiving the people around just to satisfy your urge in gambling. What’s worst about majority of these gambling addicts is that they are often in denial of theirselves and will never admit that they are addicts. The fact that these kind of people even end up turning to theft or fraud just to have some funds to gamble, that alone is a big sign of addiction since they become uncontrollable from their own actions.

Funny enough all of this are not only associated with a gambling addict but cut across anything has to do with addiction, generally too much of anything they said can be very bad, every addict will always put first whatever that are addicted to first before any other thing, and most times it takes one personal decision based on how much they have gotten the experience the hard way other than taken advice from those around them.
