On the other way round you can not compare the performance of Manchester City in their domestic league to their performance in the champions League likewise the performance of Real Madrid. Arsenal utilized the poor state of Pep Guardiola's team to destroy them as they should but looking at the next Champions League game between Manchester City and Real Madrid I don't think Manchester City will escape defeat in the game because they are playing against the best team in the history of the competition and I think Real Madrid should win the match because City is not in their good form where they can easily challenge Real Madrid this time.
I don't want to believe that the reason Arsenal thrashed Manchester City yesterday was because Pep Guardiola's City were more focused on their upcoming game in the UEFA Champions League competition against Real Madrid. Manchester City manager named his strongest squad in that game against and was hunting for a win in that game but were stunned by the Gunners at the end. Manchester City at the moment is struggling and trying to get back to winning ways just that things aren't working out well for them.
