There wasn't a specific reason in my opinion why they loss but look at Manchester City players one more time, check their connections and you will understand they are just not there this season. Previous seasons was sharp, they look always prepared and do justice to any potential assist, the smartness in making good moves but this one particular season is like the body is willing but there spirit is weak, they will sure get pipe possibly by small teams in the future if they don't adjust.
