I must admit it is kind of weird how the narrative has turned so drastically against Elon Musk and people and the media have not been giving so much attention as before to what happens in both China and Russia, two country which undeniably live under authoritarian conditions, it would seem to me the west and those who influence the narrative within social media and the news are more concerned with Elon grabbing power within western countries than countering the already established authoritarian rules of Xi and Putin. Xi has already been the longest standing secretary ot state and head of state of China, which is something that catches ones attention.
My personal theory he will only consider to quit his position after taking over Taiwan.
Anyways, The fact they are going against Musk and Trump means there are affords from both Republican and Democrat establishments to keep an status quo, which is being broken by the election of Trump and the existence of DOGE.
Musk did it to himself. In 2018, cracks started to appear, but even then i thought that his outbursts were just strong emotional meltdowns, that he wasn't able to control. And he even apologized his behavior against the cave diver.
And back in time people thought he was a genius, because it's just fair to assume that people involved with tech world are generally smart people. But that was mostly because he was speaking vaguely, and avoided hard questions. Now when it's obvious to most people that he lacks basic knowledge in many fields that he claims to understand, people have started to look back if they find him speaking anything technical. And every time he has tried, he has been alarmingly wrong about something, or just vague.
In may 2021 after his SNL sketch, they pretty much build him a sympathetic image, and if he had stuck with that, he would be fine. People would have overlooked many of his failures. Now he is being loud and out in the open, meddling elections and censoring opposition. So why wouldn't you care? Why wouldn't you care that man who openly hates therapy and has public meltdowns has ear of most powerful army in the world.
