Stake KYC policy is aimed at protecting both the gambler and the casino itself from bad actors, and for genuine stake users, I don't think that they will have any problems with the site asking for KYC, A lot have happened in the past and casinos are changing their terms of service, I still can remember when stake allowed for $150k + withdrawal for a none KYC account, it was widely promoted as the highest paid casinos with no KYC demand because of the amount of withdrawal, but that was abuse by hackers who manipulated the system and using tipping from the hot wallet to withdraw the fund's, implicating both the hacked accounts, but if there is KYC at least some second level of security authentication will be activated that will stop the hack from being successful.
Moreover, gambling sites that require their users to do KYC are now commonplace. More and more gamblers are not experiencing problems with KYC.
Although some users certainly regret the policy changes that have been made. In addition to privacy reasons, it is also possible that those who complain about KYC are those who benefit from account misuse. It could be like that, it could not be.
Users who do not want to do KYC will be invited to find another site that suits their wishes.

Stake.com should've implented this wayyyyyyyy earlier and should've had systems in place to not cause players from self-excluded countries like me to be able to register with the corresponding address, phone number etc. They willingly scammed the shit out of many players while acting like nothing happens at all. This change comes way too late to be called a smart move really. If they would've had this done earlier they could've gotten away without a investigation launched by me from the ESBK and a potential civil lawsuit as a criminal complaint.

Fuck you Stake, you took my money and now can't even respond to formal emails.
