so if you want to be paid $2000 a month but not put in a full time job worth of work, you need to look for specialist work and have the skills to fulfill

you need to do something expert level to earn $50-$200 an hour
as standard unskilled jobs only pay $12.50 and max $25 an hour

$2000 is 160 hours of $12.50(tax ignored)... 160 is 40 hours a week for 4 weeks
so find something that offers atleast $12.50 an hour and has enough work to give 160 hours

$2000 is 80 hours of $25(tax ignored)... 80 is 20 hours a week for 4 weeks or 40 hours for 2 weeks
so find something that offers atleast $25 an hour and has enough work to give 80 hours

$2000 is 40 hours of $50(tax ignored)... 40 is 10 hours a week for 4 weeks or 20 hours for 2 weeks or 40 hours for 1 week
so find something that offers atleast $50 an hour and has enough work to give 40 hours

$2000 is 20 hours of $100(tax ignored)... 20 is 5 hours a week for 4 weeks or 10 hours for 2 weeks or 20 hours for 1 week
so find something that offers atleast $100 an hour and has enough work to give 20 hours

$2000 is 10 hours of $200(tax ignored)... 10 is 2.5 hours a week for 4 weeks or 10 hours for 2 weeks or 10 hours for 1 week
so find something that offers atleast $100 an hour and has enough work to give 10 hours

Good comparison, thanks! But this doesn't really solve the dilemma because who pays $200/hr to a more or less beginner?

no one and thats the point
if your not highly skilled with reputable credentials/work experience you are not going to be employed by big technical projects that pay well
(pay well: a couple dozen core devs got a sponsor deal of HUNDREDS of $millions to share between them for a couple years work on certain features)

so for a noob your main option isnt going to be to be paid well for just a few hours a week, but instead to find consistent work of many many hours in the month

the only other option is you starting your own business/service that does something worthy and specific to your abilities that would have many different people paying you often
some people choose to sell novelty items, or sell a book or other products.  some offer other skills.
