I saw a news today about a person who decided to end his life after losing around 150K in a single bet, the person is an average middle class with a wife and baby and his annual income will be around 40K (max) then why on earth he decided to bet that big amount on a single bet. It's evident that his greed forced him to take such decision but as a result he lost the life and leaving the loved ones stranded. What's your take on this matter?
If you don't mind, then please share the link to the news so they we all can read for ourselves as well, atleast from reading the whole story, we or some of us may likely get more ideas of what really happened.
First of all, someone earning a maximum of 40k annually will definitely spend several years to save up to 150k that he used to bet, why on earth would he be that stupid?, the 150k possibly may be his life savings, and imagine how long and the stress he must have gone through in the process of saving this amount, this i believe explains why he could not endure the pain of the loss and decided to commit suicide.
We are in the 21st century and this can't keep happening, people should learn to not risk any amount of money they know they can't afford to lose on gambling or sports betting, this is a mistake we all ought to have learnt from based on how those who made this mistake ended up.
I pray he find rest, and God give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
