SA20 #31 (Qualifier — 1) MI Cape Town vs Paarl Royals
Joe Root has left PR to play for ODI series against India and Mitch Owen played at his place. I would call him decent replacement judging solely from his BBL final performance.
Anyway to the match — Vd Dussen and Rickelton gave great start to MICT, it was bit meh after these two got out but eventually Brevis, Linde and Potgieter brought run rate back what their opener's were managing and gave target of 200 runs.
PR had a excellent first over, 21 runs in there but then openers depart and shitshow starts, where everyone except Miller did shit all. I wonder why GT released Miller, he's quality player.
In Qualifier 1, MI Cape Town easily won as their squad is already looking one of the best with best bowling attack and their batting is also had good depth which helps them Pearl Royals choose first to bowl, but their bowlers failed to keep things under control and MI Cape Town batting play good which helps them for having target of 199.
All top order batsmen done good job which gave them good foundation but at the end Delano Potgieter hits 32 runs on 17 balls which make good difference for them in reply were not able to have good start as Rabada, Boult and Bosch early breakthrough for MI Cape Town. Killer Miller have some fun, but this was not enough for them to chase this big target, and they ended with 160. Now today Eliminator is going to play between Joburg Super Kings vs Sunrisers Eastern Cape winner will be faced Pearl Royals in Qualifier 2 while MI Cape Town is already in final and waiting for competitive opponent.
