It's the EFL cup return match tonight between Newcastle Vs Arsenal. The last time, Newcastle stun Arsenal at the Emirates and the gunners lost 2 - 0 This is a second opportunity to see if the gunners can turn it around with a comeback against The Magpies at St James's stadium. Arsenal needs 3 goals without reply in order to advance to the finals, anything other than this, will be goodbye for them in the EFL cup this season.

Arsenal seemed to have difficulty catching up with Newcastle. And playing as the host, Newcastle was able to score 1 goal early over Arsenal right in the 19th minute scored by J Murply, making the temporary aggregate 3-0.

In this second leg, Arsenal seemed to dominate the match, but unfortunately they were unable to maximize their dominance to build more attacks, and until now Arsenal has not been able to score a single goal against Newcastle.

Although in the previous match in the Premier League Arsenal performed well when facing Man City. But in the match against Newcastle in the League Cup I saw no signs that Arsenal would be able to equalize, so I think Arsenal will end up in the semifinals.
It's Half Time and Arsenal has a mountain to climb, if they are to progress to the next round, they are to score 4 goals without reply in the second half. As it stands that's would be a very huge comeback for them but I really don't see that happening as Newcastle still has a way of getting past Arsenal's defence again on the night. Arsenal is really on the hot sit and might be out of the competition in the next 45 minutes if they fail to score 4 goals without reply.
It is very difficult for Arsenal to break through this defensive line. Havertz was very ineffective and got angry, made a hard foul and received a yellow card. He needs to score 4 goals without conceding, but he hasn't scored against Newcastle yet this season.
Newcastle can score more goals with effective counter-attacks. Isak was attacking very effectively and his first goal was canceled by VAR due to offside.
Arsenal will most likely be eliminated in this round.
