Maybe, or maybe not.  Stupid idea regardless.

Imagine you publish all over the internet that you now have a bag of a few million Dollars sitting right under the staircase of your house.  Then some psychopath ends up researching your profile good enough that they learn who you are and where you live, so you end up being robbed of your millions and tortured for being stupid.

That sucks.

Now imagine you publish all over the internet a fake story about having a real bag of a few million Dollars sitting right under the staircase of your house, but you pretend it is a real story all along.  A psychopath ends up researching your profile good enough that they learn where you live, so you end up tortured to death.  Because you were smart enough to convince others that you actually own that bag but stupid enough to not think of the consequences.  You die trying to explain to the criminal that you actually do not own the bag, the criminal ends up killing you thinking you own it but do not want to give it up.

That sucks in a very stupid way.
