Yea it remains to be seen who can be the most consistent because thats what
is going to be needed.
I'm surprised to see that neither are playing the WTA 500 tournament in Abu Dhabi
which starts tomorrow. But I suppose thats what the very tio players do after winning
or reaching finals of GS' - they take a reak. Even Sinner is on a break!
Top seeds Rybakina 1, Badosa 2, Kasatkina 3 and Putinseva 4 play Wednesday.
Yeah, it was a surprise as Swiatek might take this if Sabalenka is absent and inch closer with the points she is going to earn. In the men's side, it's understandable as Sinner lead is really big for Zverev to catch.
and with that, those top seeds in the women's in this tournament will have a big chance to show their talents. And there could be surprise results as well as maybe some women's underdog are going to win in this tournament, IMHO.
Maybe its early in the season for them to be getting worked up on points and
that they a very wealthy. The number 1 spot will happen organically depending
on tournaments won in the season.
I wonder if Sinner will build up enough of a points difference to carry him through
being number 1 while he serves out a potential ban this year? thats wondering if
there will even be a ban...
It's going to be bad for tennis if their number 1 player are going to be suspended, and if I'm not mistaken, he could be out for 1 to 2 years. And that will not look good for him, but still though, he was found positive not just once, but twice.
So let's see, it's very hard decision to make for the body to suspend it, but rule is the rule and so they will have to implement it regardless of who the player is. Similar in boxing, when Ryan Garcia was tested positive and he was ban for 1 year. Although his suspension is going to be lift this April.
But it's totally different for tennis player as they usually play the whole year. As compare to boxers, with only 1 or 2 fights a year.
