we must control our greed and learn self-control. If we do not have control over ourselves, we will easily become addicted to gambling.

There is always something that stops us from falling and I think that most of us agree that when greed comes in everything starts to fall, that is where our discipline has to be the strongest, because with good discipline there is no way that any kind of greed or any kind of temptation that is always present can come in.
You are right but humans can not be 100% discipline that's why most times disciplined gamblers also fall into temptations.
There's nothing right about this statement, it's just a way to preach weakness. See, it's either you are disciplined or not, I don't know the meaning of being disciplined halfway, let's stop finding excuses for not being disciplined, it only weakens our willpower. I would have agreed if you claimed humans can't be 100% disciplined in every aspect of life, but being disciplined in activities like gambling is 100% achievable and I am a witness to that. I gamble when I want to and with the planned amounts and when I say I don't want to gamble, I put a sure stop to it. That's how it should be.

There are gamblers who can deal with as they already experienced things the hardway, and same with your last statement there are gamblers who can take that route to completely stop when it's needed, and I agree with your statement as well with not 100% discipline as we are still human and being tempted is still in us.

But, if you practice what you plan ahead of time  then it will start to be established and you'll always do that self-will to keep you in-line with your set strategy.
