Arsenal have spent a lot of money in the last few seasons to build their squad but they have not been able to win any major titles and that is clearly a failure. If you look at the game graph, The Gunners have always been able to improve but mentality is a big obstacle that makes performance inconsistent. And in my opinion if this season fails again to achieve achievements then Arteta's position deserves to be evaluated and it is very possible that a change of coach is a must for the sake of the big target to be achieved.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta for a truth have spent a lot of money to build the squad and if you ask me, I think Arsenal as a team have a near-perfect squad that can compete in the highest leagues in the world but he has one problem and that's a top 9 striker role. Arsenal would've achieved more under Mikel Arteta if he had an energetic box-to-box striker that has all it takes to muscle out defenders and make his presence to be felt by any opposing defender.
Currently, Arsenal manager is relying on Kai Havertz to deliver the team in terms of scoring goals but I don't think the Germany international can do more than he's currently doing at the club
I don't know what Arteta is thinking, sometimes I'm confused to examine the plans he built for his team's squad. Arsenal has spent a lot of money by bringing in several players, but so far they have not been able to become champions in the Premier League. in this winter transfer window, Arteta did not bring in any newcomers to his squad. several names who play as center forwards were linked to Arsenal, until the closing it turned out that Arsenal had not recruited any players. actually Arsenal is quite productive in terms of scoring goals, but they still don't have a pure striker who is sometimes needed in certain matches. Kai Harvertz can play as a center forward, but his instincts in terms of scoring goals are not like the pure striker they need. so is G Jesus, he is good at playing but is not a striker who can be relied on in all matches. besides, he is often injured. honestly, even though I am an Arsenal supporter, I doubt that they can overtake the position occupied by Liverpool. not that I am pessimistic, but more about Arsenal's consistency itself and one of them is that they need a striker who can be relied on as a goal scorer in their squad. Let's see how Arsenal play all their matches in the Premier League, especially since they were eliminated by Newcastle in the EFL Cup. They should be able to focus more on the Premier League and also the Champions League, I hope so.
