I just found out this morning that Guardiola has divorced his wife, now it becomes clearer that everything that happens to Guardiola can be transmitted to the players and affect the team's results. I don't want to say that there is a direct connection, but it definitely has some influence. Well, each of us has difficult periods in life, you just need to get through it, the most important thing is not to dwell on it for too long, and football is part of his life, he needs to be a professional and separate it from the personal.
So many of us didn't like how City dominated the English premier league for long, but at this very point, the League has started becoming boring with City's poor performance. I'm not sure if pep's divorce has anything to do with the players failing to win games, because I watched their last game against Arsenal, and I saw how City dominated the game to some extent, but they where not just clinical enough like the old days. If we take a look at Arsenal's game against Newcastle yesterday, we can literally picture City in that scenario, because Arsenal dominated and still ended up loosing, which is the current problem that City has been having. I think most teams has figured them out. Just play a low blocked against them, and capitalize well when attacking, because pep plays a more attacking game, than a defensive game.
But, at the same time, I can feel what pep is going through at this point (both in his personal life and work). I believe we all sometimes faces certain situations where it looks like nothing is working even though we are applying same principles that has worked before. Pep might just need to take a break at this point, because it seems like the contract extension was never a good idea in the first place.
