India has shown that they are very strong when playing at home just like Australia. They have beaten some tough teams on their own field. England has been having tough time in their recent T20 series and that continued in ODI series. Even though England started strong they could not beat India good batting. India team was able to come back from some early mistakes thanks to support of their home crowd and their good lower order batting. Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill played very important innings that helped India win game.

India failed to win ICC tournaments even they are being held at the sub-continent. They maybe the strongest team, and BCCI is the richest board by some distance. But their performance during ICC tournaments has been pathetic. And one of the main reasons for this has been poor selection policies. Poor performers such as Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma are being retained, while players such as Karun Nair and Abhimanyu Easwaran, who has been performing well in domestic cricket are being ignored.
