When I didn't see Solanke, I knew something is very wrong. When I saw Liverpool line up, I gave up on Tottenham. I don't expect Tottenham to win but I really wished they won, but it is unfortunate that wishes don't play football.
I really looked forward to seeing Arsenal Vs Tottenham finals, such that anyone that wins will be ok. Now that my wishes didn't come through, can Newcastle United just win this and let Liverpool concentrate in either Champions league or English Premier league. They literally can't be everywhere. A new manager doesn't deserve such an honour in the first season.
I think if Solanke had been in the starting line up, he might have contributed to the team's attacking play offering physical presence and goal scoring opportunities. However given Liverpool's overall dominance in the match I doubt his inclusion would have significantly altered the final result of the match. Liverpool remains in contention for four trophies this season including the EFL cup and they have a strong chance of winning the cup, however underestimating Newcastle would be very risky as they have shown their ability to compete with top teams but I believe Liverpool's quality and depth makes them clear favourites to lift the trophy.
