Zimbabwe ended their innings on 267 runs. It wasn't much different than Ireland first innings score of 260 runs. Both teams scored almost equally in the first innings and it is now all down to the 2nd innings. The team who bats well in the 2nd innings will win this match and i think Ireland team are at an advantage right now according to the match situation.
In the 2nd innings, Ireland had already made 83 runs and lost only a single wicket. This is totally opposite as how Ireland played in the first innings. They already have lost 6 wickets for 82 runs and here we are with 83 for one wicket loss. This is why I say that Ireland has more chances to win this match.
I believe that Zimbabwe has a better chance of winning this test match. Ireland should have taken a first innings lead of 50-60 runs, but the partnership between Blessing Muzarabani and Trevor Gwandu for the 10th wicket put the momentum back for Zimbabwe. And then Ireland lost Peter Moor, just when it looked as if he is all set for a big score. Unless Ireland can extend the lead to 280-300 runs (which looks unlikely BTW), i don't think that they have a good chance of saving this match.
Yep, In the second inning of the Test game, Ireland began their batting with Peter Moor and Andy Balbirnie. They made a partnership of 96 runs, which was a great effort. Lorcan Tucker with his outstanding performance, scored 58 runs. Richard Ngarava also displayed impressive skills, taking 4 wickets and putting pressure on the opposition. Ireland ultimately set a challenging target of 298 runs. As we moved into the second inning for Zimbabwe, Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Ben Curran opened the batting. Still, unfortunately, they could only manage a partnership of 18 runs before Mark Adair's excellent bowling dismissed Kaitano. Nick Welch managed just 5 runs before Brian Bennett stepped in, remaining not out at 15 runs. At this stage, Zimbabwe seems to be loosing this game but let's watch what happens.
