Anyway, the FA Cup 4th round is underway. There is one thing that is actually quite unfortunate, namely Chelsea's defeat from Brighton. Yes, Chelsea is indeed not consistent enough. A 2-1 defeat, Chelsea did not even score a single goal, only 1 OG from Brighton player Verbruggen. And in the end, Mitoma became the winning player with his second goal. The match was quite balanced, but Chelsea was unable to optimize the chances to win.
Chelsea's inconsistency is just getting started and we will get to see more of that in all competitions as the season continues. Just watching how Brighton same team same team that was beaten 7:0 by Nottingham Forest of recent now outshined Chelsea, holding the ball more and mounting pressure on Chelsea's defence, it gets me wondering if Enzo Maresca and his boys are really serious for a trophy this season.
Honestly,  the very moment Enzo Maresca refused signing a natural striker to the club in this recent January transfer window I knew it was going to be a disaster for the club in having to win games as expected due to a lack of a prolific goal scorer in front.
This is very surprising indeed because at first many people believed that Enzo Maresca could build Chelsea better after seeing the positive progress that occurred since his arrival, but some of Maresca's decisions actually raised many questions and doubts from many fans and now it is proven that Chelsea's team performance is actually declining..
At first he was doing a great job with the team as he brought some bit of improvement as we started seeing positives results then all of a sudden the team is like going back to its former condition of inconsistency before he took the job as manager. His choice to continuously give priority to Nicolas Jackson believing the dude is going to improve and be become decisive with goals opportunities as a striker, which made him (Maresca) not to buy an experience and better striker in order to make that position competitive is what is going to cost him his job as Chelsea's manager.

For god's sake Chelsea needs a fine finisher who's presence should be a treat to defenders when he's at the 18 yard box of their opponent but definitely not  N. Jackson, at least not for now.
