It differs in how the influencers manipulate their viewers and followers. Some influencers make huge money from their links, while others earn little. We could think there was money with this strategy, but it wasn't enough to rely on. Yes, it is much better to have another source of income you can rely on while considering this just a side hassle.
influencers with huge following are the ones who make the most money and the unfair situation is honestly sometimes those who do not put in that much effort get more views more followers than those who really work hard for it because in social media it’s really almost just about going viral

Some people pay for ads even on their social page, they do pay for those ads so that their content can appear frequently for visitors and also for their content to appear easily on search. Some of them that are making money via freelancing also spent some money to build their page. What I just feel is not right is the misleading idea of gambling that some of them try to pass to their audience.
