Tottenham is one of the teams in the top 16 this season, they are one of the teams considered to be able to compete for the championship title. but I don't know how far they will be able to survive, because they have repeatedly failed in a competition. Especially if you compare their performance in the Premier League for example, their performance in the Premier League this season is very disappointing. Usually they are in the top 5 competition, but this season they have been eliminated far from that position and are still struggling to improve it.
It's so sad Tottenham has got a really poor performance this season, literally even their results have been very inconsistent and unreliable, last season they had a more solid one than they have this season and it's actually such that they really had a very decent finish by the end of the season and now they are not probably leveling even upto where they were last season, most likely a poor finish is what they are going end the season with, but we hope they actually get to improve just before then.
Despite Tottenham poor performance they managed to advance to the 4th position in europa league first stage of the competition based on points gathered. I presume their inconsistency wasn't reflected much in the Europa unlike their domestic league. But being in the top 16 is already a ticket for the round of 16 which will start another round of the competition after the playoffs stage.
I am expecting Tottenham to build up properly so they can take up their opponents and conquer each stage so they draw nearer to the finals. I won't want to compare their performance to that of last season because things change and the structure of the competition last season Is not the same as this. If they can add a little effort to their inconsistency they will eventually go far in the competition.
