Oh man, Maresca seems to be satisfied with these average playing performance from these players and doesn't seem a need to either sign a new striker to support the frontline or add to the strength of the defense, and this is not unconnected to his live statement that a prestigious club as big as Chelsea isn't playing towards winning the EPL this season, and this has in no wise created a poor winning mentality towards the players that they couldn't even get a better performance, shots on target and possession against average Brighton which Nottingham Forest humbled.
Now they're out of the FA Cup and the Carabao cup competitions with just the conference league and EPL left. I won't be surprised to see Chelsea get defeated again by Brighton when they meet in the EPL because nothing has changed about the team. One thing I know is that the defeat in the FA cup competition will give Brighton more confidence to want to repeat their winning streak.
The statement made by moresca ordinarily has shown how unserious he is recently, the statement is even suspicious because it looks as if this is what he had wanted, I can't believe a manager will say that when such manager already know that the major reason for every team in that competition is to win the league but he decided to make a ridicule of his club thats too bad, Brighton winning Chelsea yesterday was not a good one for every Chelsea fan, I was very much bittererd seeing Chelsea being defeated by an underserved club like Brighton, to me Brighton isn't our equals so beating Chelsea yesterday portrays a whole lot of danger for the blues, it shows that a lot of work needed to be done, Chelsea were away on this particular match and their next meeting in the premiership Chelsea will also be visiting so i wont be expecting any different result though anything is still possible.
As it is now, Chelsea manager has to put up a good strategy because if this persist his job may be in jeopardy, this is a business that has to be treated with care and seriousness.
