To be eligible to enter the contest - each participant must have at least 10 winning bets with a minimum of $10 per bet. For some gamblers, $10 per bet is quite high and it takes more than 10 tries to win 10 bets. Someone might have to spend $200 to win 10 bets and qualify for the contest - some might spend $150, so I agree that $10 per bet with 10 wins seems so high as a to qualify for the contest.

In slot competitions, we can spend much more than $100-$200 and not have a single nice win that we can use for the competition. But some people manage to do it with much less money... we can say that this is an ideal situation, someone wins a nice payout and then has a profit from both that and the prize from the competition.
It's the same for this sports betting competition, someone will have 10 out of 10 wins, a nice profit (minimum $50) and plus a prize from the competition... and some will not be that lucky.
